Software Engineer (C#)

Job Description:
RightRez is currently seeking a C# .Net Developer to join our most excellent development team in our Bloomington, IN location.

We want people with big ideas who are open to tackling the many challenges that we face in developing agile and responsive travel automation software. We want you to have a great deal of input into our ongoing product development and creation. In turn, you want to work for a place that values technology over bureaucracy, where you can rip the code base in half and turn it inside out to make it twice as fast, and get a pat on the back rather than a reprimand.

We provide competitive salary and benefits, along with a laid-back workplace that encourages a work-life balance. Bloomington is a vibrant medium-sized city in southern Indiana, just 40 minutes from Indianapolis. It is the home of Indiana University, named one of the 5 most beautiful university campuses in America, as well as the site of numerous festivals and many independent and locally-run businesses and restaurants. Fast internet is widely available.

Position Requirements:
  • Skilled at both front- and back-end development on the web, using C#, ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Skilled with object-oriented design and advanced features of .Net 4.0 (LINQ, closures, lambda expressions, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and stored procedure development
  • Experience with multi-threaded/parallel application development
  • Skilled at working with users to create a UI that caters to the needs of the end-users
  • Motivated to get the job done, without wanting or needing to be micro-managed.
  • Experience dealing with medium-to-large size databases
